Rajib on life support

College student Rajib Hasan, who lost his arm being pressed between two buses in the city, has been kept on life support. He was kept under life support around 8:45am on Tuesday at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Earlier, the physical condition of the victim deteriorated around 4:00am. Professor Dr Mohammad Shamsuzzam Shahin, head of the DMCH Orthopedic Department and chief of a 7-member medical board, said Rajib was kept on life support as Rajib faced breathing difficulties. Earlier on April 3, Rajib Hossain, a third-year student of Government Titumir College, lost the hand after it got stuck between two speeding buses trying to overtake each other in the capital's Bangla Motor area. Profusely bleeding, he was taken to Samorita Hospital in Panthapath. Later, the 22-year-old was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.
